The Tikal ruins are impressive. Set in the jungle, we heard howlers and saw spider monkeys while walking the trails between ruins. The ruins themselves are massive and afford great views of the jungle setting. If it weren't for the throngs of tourists flitting about, it would be easy to picture the thousands of Mayans that would have gathered in those same plazas and temples. Even still, it's definitely an awesome place to check out.
