Costa Rican Food and Drink

After drinking Panamanian beers for two years, the Costa Rican beers have been a nice change of pace.  Here's how they stack up.

Imperial is definitely the beer of choice.  Light and tasty.  Great on a hot day.
Pilsen.  Another option, if you're into that kind of thing.
Bavaria.  Claims to be a dark beer and gives the nod to Germany, but still clings to its Costa Rican roots by being the lightest tasting dark beer I've ever had.  That said, it's a great way to break up the monotony of light beers down here.
Cacique is a hard alcohol that's the working man's spirit.  I threw this in just because its another piece to the Costa Rican libation puzzle.

In terms of food, you have to aprovechar the gallo pinto and empanadas (sadly both not pictured below).  Delicious!
